MAIN FLOOR

ENTRY LEVEL
A slate floor with pegged oak wood separations, and an exposed beam ceiling. Look into a lighted display cabinet for collectibles - - in this case, automobile models. Stone on one wall. The guest closet and toilet is located off this area.

LIVING ROOM
High sloping ceilings with a balcony/library, a large wood-burning fireplace, and windows on three sides of the room. White oak wainscotting is in place on all walls. The collector display case can be viewed from this room that opens into the dining room and porch.

DINING
The dining area was designed to accommodate a six-foot-round dining table that seats 6-8 people, to encourage participation in one conversation at dinner. From here you can hear the water falling over the dam at the Old Mill. Features include a custom light fixture, a corian-topped counter, and - behind the serving counter - a special stained-glass light displaying an image of a Royale Bugatti automobile.

PORCH
Opening from the Living Room or Dining Room, the Porch has a built-in seat along one side. It overlooks the Old Mill, dam, and pond, and offers views of the stream and bridge.

OFFICE
The Office has large windows on the north and east sides, and a separate door to the outside so that you don't need come into the main house to enter. This room has track lighting, shelving, and built-in desks. A storage closet and toilet are adjacent. This area could integrate more conventional office furniture or be used as a bedroom. (Some architects tend to be a rather untidy in their work spaces!)

KITCHEN AND BREAKFAST AREA
The Kitchen area has 245 feet of corian counter with a large corian sink and instant hot water. Appliances include a lowered glass-top electric range with oven below, a second 36" electric oven with a microwave unit built in above, a two-door sub-zero refrigerator, a siIent dishwasher and a trash compactor. The Breakfast Area has a special oak plank ceiling, overlooks the Old Mill and dam, and receives the first morning sunlight.

PANTRY
This walk-in pantry has two large doors with shelves mounted on their interior, and plenty of room for small appiances, liquor storage, large pots and pans, table linens, etc. Access from here to the back of the audio system closet that opens off the entry hall makes it much easier to change wiring.

STORAGE AREA
A large storage area and freezer are located on this floor for holding staples you buy in large quantities.

SCREENED PORCH
This is where you will spend most of your time in the spring, summer & fall! The Screened Porch has a ceramic file floor, a ceiling fan, and is open on two sides to allow an excellent breeze during the summer. The Porch looks down on the dam and Old Mill - you can hear the sound of waler falling over the dam. From here there is access to the motor court, deck, kitchen, and guest house.

COFFEE PORCH
This partially cantilevered deck opens off from the screened porch and looks out over the bluff, down toward the dam and Old Mill. Includes a built in bench and planter pod.
